(August 10, 2025) – The School District Governance Association of New Hampshire (SGDA-NH) has now completed the 2025 SDGA Legislator Score Cards, based on 119 bills that were tracked. Bills were selected based on their effect (positive or negative) on the SDGA core values of responsible governance, fiscal prudence, and academic excellence in our NH public education system.
From these bills, there were 51 roll call votes in the House and 30 roll calls in the Senate that were used to track how each legislator voted, resulting in the 2025 SDGA Legislator Score Cards for the House and Senate. We have the 2025 House Score Card in two forms, Highest to Lowest score and alphabetical by Representative last name. The “SDGA Support Score” is the percentage of votes in alignment with SDGA recommendations. Recognizing the volunteer nature of serving in the legislature, we also have the “SDGA Support Score Ignoring Excused” which takes out the missed votes for which the legislator has been excused by the House. A legislator can earn an Exemplary Score or Strong/Solid Score as long as the legislator participated in least 2/3 of the 51 or 30 roll call votes. However, to earn a Perfect Score, the legislator must not miss any of the 51 or 30 roll call votes.
Senate: 10 Senators earned a Perfect Score and 6 Senators earned an Exemplary Score.
House: 71 Representatives earned a Perfect Score, 113 Representatives earned an Exemplary Score, and 16 earned a Strong/Solid Score.
SDGA congratulates all legislators that earned a Perfect, Exemplary, and Strong/Solid score, and thank the House and Senate for a very productive 2025 session in improving the academic and fiscal effectiveness of public education in our great state.
