Board decisions are frequently made in an information vacuum. The NH Department of Education keeps copious statistics by district that can help you place your district in the context of comparable districts in the state.

Did you know that citizens can place warrant articles on the school district warrant for annual or special meetings? The warrants do not need to be limited only to those put forth by the school board. Citizen petition warrant articles can make important changes to your school district to improve governance, fiscal prudence, and other matters.
Eric Pauer, President of SDGA, has authored dozens of petition warrant articles and will describe the process, including examples of petition warrant articles that can improve your school district.

School districts in NH can use the traditional form of meeting or the SB2 form of meeting, also called “Official Ballot Referenda” (RSA 40:13). Both types of meetings share many similarities but also have distinct differences, with pros and cons.
Eric Pauer, President of SDGA, has extensive experience with both types of school district meetings and will discuss the details of the SB2 form of meeting.
