School districts in NH can use the traditional form of meeting or the SB2 form of meeting, also called “Official Ballot Referenda” (RSA 40:13). Both types of meetings share many similarities but also have distinct differences, with pros and cons.
Eric Pauer, President of SDGA, has extensive experience with both types of school district meetings and will discuss the details of the SB2 form of meeting.
Registration is free, but required in order to receive a Zoom invitation.
This is the year for all to get behind SB2. Most peoples’ taxes have gone up, and it is time for all voters to decide on their tax rate, not the 10% that show up at the Town meeting.
I love the town meeting principal, but we have outgrown it and the way the meetings are run, with liberals booing and shouting down other speakers, no longer allows the will of the town to be heard.
I signed up for tonight’s webinar on SB2 but have not received a link. Are they yet to be sent? Thx

Diane,
Did you eventually get the linK? I can’t see a date on your message.
Is there a succinct file that can concisely explain how SB2 differs from the traditional format town meeting.
All the explanations I have encountered have been so in depth that it becomes way too much for folks to understand. It should be 1 page, using the K.I.S.S. principle Keep It Simple..
Any suggestions?
We have a slide deck from this presentation that will soon be available to our members on the private area of our website. You can join us, or you can attend the next webinar on this topic which has not yet been scheduled but will be within the next 6 months. Membership is just $20 a year. SDGANH.org for more info.
Thanks for writing.
