Citizen petitioned warrant articles are a fascinating grassroots mechanism for political expression in NH. What can you reasonably hope to accomplish by this method? Learn how to write them, ensure they are valid, campaign for them, and understand when they will be binding or just advisory. Gain wisdom from the many war stories of a master of petitioned warrant articles, our presenter, Eric Pauer.

Eric is currently president of the School District Governance Association of NH and has extensive experience in local appointed and elected positions for Brookline and the Hollis Brookline Cooperative School District. Eric has had a lot of success spearheading important school district initiatives in Brookline such as the adoption of SB2, instituting a tax cap, and requiring that the tax impact of budget items be printed on the school district ballot. He has also authored successful town petition warrant articles for elected planning boards and veterans tax credits.
