How NH School District Budgets are Impacted by the State
a School District Budget and Finance workshop November 18, 2017 hosted by the
School District Governance Association of New Hampshire
Concord, NH October 20, 2017 –
The financial pressures on school districts in New Hampshire are frequently blamed on
“downloading” of costs by the state government. How much truth is in this claim, and how
much of it is an attempt by local authorities to deflect taxpayer anger?
The facts are hiding in plain sight. This seminar will provide a guided tour of the public
information sources which can be used to separate facts from myth. Participants will be
shown how to find the answers for themselves and their own school districts.
This event is designed to benefit elected school district officials, but the public is also
welcome by advance registration. A continental breakfast will be offered.
